How we help
We provide registered parents with professional specialized services and counseling through a comprehensive annual support program, which enables families to improve their living situation with the help of our experts.
Basic information
The Comprehensive Annual Support Program for Single Parents is a unique initiative created by JEDEN RODIČ n.o.
The program lasts one year (12 months) and is intended for people who are raising their minor children alone, without the help of a partner or another adult, and who are after a breakup, divorce, bereavement, or whose partner is serving a prison sentence.
To be admitted into the Annual Program, a single parent must also meet additional criteria.
During participation in the Annual Program, we provide single parents with professional counseling remotely—online or by phone—as well as in person. This is the most important part of the program.
Professional counseling consists of regular consultations with experts, aimed at teaching parents new knowledge and skills so that, by the end of the program (after one year), they are able to manage life situations independently, without our help. The services provided are multidisciplinary, meaning that several experts cooperate to improve the family’s crisis situation for the better.
We provide
- social counseling
- psychological counseling (parenting skills, coping with challenging situations),
- life coaching (self-confidence, life purpose, life goals),
- career counseling (CV creation, job placement, educational courses),
- legal counseling (e.g., assistance with child support, debts),
- financial counseling (managing family finances).
These counseling services are assigned by a social worker, who acts as the family manager and is most frequently in contact with the single parent. The social worker assists and explains to the client how to join the counseling sessions online, helps with guidance in handling state benefits, and more.
Alongside this professional support, during the one-year program, we also provide the single parent with occasional humanitarian and food aid. The supply of hygiene products and food for clients in the annual program is supported by our partners.
Upon entering the Annual Program, we sign a cooperation agreement, which describes the obligations of both parties: the scope in which we provide free professional counseling and services, as well as the single parent’s responsibilities in the cooperation—actively seeking solutions to overcome difficult situations and participating in the counseling sessions.
