How it works
According to Slovak legislation, everyone has the right to decide to whom they leave their property. In your will, you can designate not only your loved ones but also an organization you trust. The non-profit organization JEDEN RODIČ may be named as a beneficiary in your will.
You can bequeath:
- a specific financial amount,
- a percentage of your estate,
- a specific item (e.g., property, car, artwork),
- or your entire estate, if you so wish.
How your gift will be used
Your bequest will help to:
- provide the free Annual Support Program,
- create educational programs and maintain the online platform for parents My Life and Me,
- advocate for legislative changes so that Slovakia finally recognizes the specific needs of single-parent families,
- establish community support centers.
Important notice
- Your legal heirs (children, grandchildren) are entitled to a so-called compulsory share.
- We therefore recommend consulting a lawyer or notary to ensure that your will is valid and complies with legal requirements.
